Working in the intersection between theater, mediation and children & youth.
The workshop is based on the concept of _Theatre mediation, which is about how a theater performance can be communicated to a specific target group.

The concept is a central part of the work in the European collaboration project "ConnectUp". In the workshop, participants will get an introduction to the idea behind the role of theater mediator and we will work with concrete forms of mediation on the floor. Our starting point will be the performance TABU, which is being performed at INAF and it is recommended that participants have seen it beforehand.

The workshop leader is Kristian Nødtvedt Knudsen. Kristian works as an Associate Professor in Theater at the University of Agder and has extensive experience in theater work for and with children and young people in various contexts. Kristian is also co-editor of the anthology "Kunstens betydning - utvidede perspekiver på kunst og barn og unge" (2022), which is about how art can play a role in the lives of children and young people both in a school and educational context, as well as in society in general.
